Mägo de Oz es un grupo de Folk Metal y Celtic Metal español fundado en 1988, es una banda reconocida no solo en el ambito Español, sino en muchas partes del mundo. Mägo de Oz ha recibido la influencia de bandas legendarias como Stratovarius, Iron Maiden, Helloween, entre otras citadas por el grupo en diversas entrevistas.

La ciudad de los árboles es el nombre del octavo álbum de estudio del grupo de folk metal español, Mägo de Oz, y fue lanzado el día 6 de noviembre de 2007. Está en formato digibook, e incluye un DVD.

El disco de "La ciudad de los árboles" llega a alcanzar Disco de Oro por sus mas de 40,000 copias vendidas, y llegan por primera vez el 27 de Marzo de 2008, a obtener un Disco de Diamante, por su venta de mas de 1.000.000 de copias vendidas en la trayectoria de mas de 20 años del grupo.

Según han declarado diversos integrantes del grupo, en este disco pretenden alejarse de las complejidades en la composición de canciones que se han visto en las dos partes publicadas de su trilogía "Gaia", y realizar canciones más breves e incisivas, con temas que no superan los seis minutos.

Durante el día 10 de octubre del 2007, se estrenó el videoclip del primer single, Y Ahora Voy a Salir (Ranxeira), en el sitio web oficial del grupo. El single salió a la venta oficialmente el 16 de octubre del 2007.

El dia 29 de Marzo del 2008, sale a la luz pública el videoclip, "Deja de Llorar (Y vuelvete a levantar)"; en el sitio web oficial del grupo.
